A foundation for success

NAMUGONGO BASKETBALL CENTER LIMITED (NBCL) is a Basketball academy registered as a company limited by guarantee incorporated in Uganda.

It is licensed by the Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA). Its core business is to impart basketball skills to all age groups through training and mentoring.

Mission

To identify, develop and harness Basketball Talent and Passion in the youth through exposure to elite coaching and financing sponsors worldwide.

Vision

To be a leading Regional Basketball Resource Center in East Africa.

Goals

To achieve socio-economic benefits for all youth with potential basketball talent.
To inspire, encourage and educate the girl child about the economic benefits and career opportunities in Basketball.
To promote good health and physical fitness through basketball engagements as a preventive rather than curative approach.

Objectives

To recruit competent scouting staff to identify and conscript potential youth for training in basketball from established educational centres, vocational institutes and the informal apprenticeship concerns.
To provide basketball courts and equipment at various geo-administrative levels for training and playing.
To procure freelance, established and elite coaching staff as trainers and refereeing officials.
To partner with national, regional and international basketball organizations for placement of our mentees in universities, academies and other educational establishments.
To support talented players to gain scholarships to international Basketball Universities.
To provide accessible pathways with quality education alongside professional basketball coaching.
To engage in health enhancement programs through emphasis of appropriate nutrition, games and sports especially for the elderly and underprivileged members of our society.
To participate vigorously in all manner of community based activities to project an enviable face of the game.

Targets

Aims at facilitating at least two players (one male and one female) to make it to internationally recognized basketball leagues such as NBA, WNBA, EURO, Australian NBL, etc. annually.
Aims at making mentees self sufficient socio-economically
Aims at the creation of healthy communities through fitness developed via passionate basketball multi-level leagues.
